Mental toughness is developed through repetition and experience. Drilling hard, pushing during conditioning, and learning to compete all build confidence. Visualization, deep breathing, and positive self-talk also help wrestlers perform at their best.
The wrestler who refuses to quit — even when exhausted — is often the wrestler who wins. Mental toughness separates good wrestlers from great ones.
