AUSTIN ELLIS
Coach Austin Ellis is an accomplished wrestler and dedicated coach who brings years of competitive success and coaching experience to Parker’s Wrestling Club. Since beginning his coaching career in 2016, he has been committed to helping wrestlers of all ages develop the skills, confidence, and work ethic necessary to compete at the highest level.
As a competitor, Coach Ellis established himself as one of Texas’ top Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestlers, earning the title of 4-time Texas Greco-Roman State Champion and 4-time Texas Freestyle State Champion. He was also a 3-time Team Texas National Team member, representing the state against some of the nation’s best athletes, and captured the 2010 Texas Youth State Championship.
During his high school career, Coach Ellis compiled an impressive 154-43 record, including an incredible 100 career pins, demonstrating his aggressive and dominant wrestling style. He continued his success at the collegiate level, posting a 47-11 record while qualifying for the NCWA National Championships.
In addition to his wrestling accomplishments, Coach Ellis is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt, bringing a well-rounded grappling background that enhances his technical instruction and athlete development.
At Parker’s Wrestling Club, Coach Ellis is passionate about building fundamentally sound wrestlers while instilling discipline, resilience, and confidence in every athlete. His competitive experience, technical knowledge, and dedication to mentoring young wrestlers make him a valuable asset to the coaching staff and an outstanding role model for athletes striving to reach their full potential.
